Summary of all the fun Nathan had in 2011

2011 is another big year for our family, It's so much fun that we didn't have any time for writing any record until now.

In 2011, we've been to so many fun places with Nathan's good friends, move to a new home, have a new family member-Winston, and started Nathan's physical therapy treatment, and visited Napa, Taiwan, Iowa. Nathan experienced Easter, july 4th, and soon Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We also have many relatives visited us this year, from both grandparents, uncle and auntie from Taiwan...It's only October and we had so much fun already. This is definitely quite a year to all of us.

Nathan's physical therapy treatment

Nathan has been taking PT treatment from Regional center in the past few months because of his low muscle tune diagnosis from his doctor.

This issue has slow down his development of walking, speech and some other perspectives. Luckily,it doesn't seem affect his positive attitude and his intelligence. Nathan loves his physical therapist-Stephanie, who is always sweet, patient to him since day one.

Since Nathan is going to be three, they will need to transfer him from Regional Center to School District for his therapy. We will have to change to a different treatment system. We hope we will continue to have the luck for meeting wonderful therapist who is able to help Nathan to make more significant progress on his physical development.

Baby Winston from 1st Day to 3 Month

Our baby Winston...there are so much joy of having him, and yet so challenge to keep a good record of him.

He was born smaller, and yet always very cooperate. By month three, he can slept through the nights mostly.

He rarely cry, mostly seems content and happy. Big eyes very curious about the world and often very patient to wait for mommy's attention while mommy's busy with his big brother Nathan.

Here...after three months, I finally able to get some of Winston's photos together to share with our family and friends.

He has changed and grows so much in 3 month, and the photos reminded me that I should keep a better record of him. I wish I can remember every second of their progress..just so precious and adorable.

Love for the baby brother

Winston at one month old

Baby Winston-3 month

Poor baby Winston, since he was born, I didn't really get chance to take too much photos of him. And because Nathan is so needy, Winston is trained to sleep by himself already. But my sweet baby is so thoughtful that for 3 month old, he can sleep through the night mostly..

Big dog!!

love shopping

love the train~

Got Go!!!!

While Nathan had fun at SFO, he heared the speaker with annoucement...he rapidly grasp all his toys and told us "got go! got go!" 當憲瑞在機場玩的正開心的時候 突然聽到廣播 也沒聽清楚說了甚麼 只看到他十萬火急的把所有玩具揀起來 跟我們說 "要出發了 快走 快走!"

Happy Birthday to Grand Nan Betty

Can't believe Grand Nan Betty made her 92 yr old birthday. Even though she is only 82 lb now, she looks more healthy and energetic than her 91 yr old birthday.

In the past 5 years, every time we visited her, we thought this would be the last time, somehow she has the spirit and strong will to struggle to survive. In the past 10 years I know her, even though she has all kind of physical uncomfort because of age and illness, I rarely rarely hear she has any complaint. Such an amazing women.....

Happy Birthday Nan!

Nathan's 1st IPad experience.....what a great invention

nathan's daddy got a new ipad for work, and we downloaded a few application for preschool...it's amazing..it has the spelling game, animal sounds, puzzle, train games, and it's all free. Nathan had a great time of it and it didn't take him long to figure out how to use his little figures to click on different functions.

what a different generation~ and by this rate, I am not certain I can keep on learning new technologies faster than my son so that I can teach him for school work? It's a fun era and yet reall a challenge era too. :-)

Ballon Fun with Auntie Paggy

Auntie Paggy is a 70 yr old caregiver of Nathan's 92 yr old grand grandmom. she is a lady with beautiful heart who visit grand nan Betty every single day in the past 4 yrs because of their long-term friendship.

Paggy has several grand grandchildren herself and is excellent with kids. Every time during our visit, Nathan is very found of her and always really happy whenever she is nearby.

Little Lion Dance

We have a little hand-made lion dance mask at home..which is something fun we had in our wedding party when Aaron wanted to do the lion dance as his style of "showing respect to Chinese culture"...The truth is..none of Chinese wedding I know has such tradition..Oh well..as long as he is happy then..it's okay for everyone to be entertained :-)

Nathan was trying to feed all his stuff animal last night, and he realized that there is a lion mask on the top of the shelf..hasn't be feed yet, so he insisted us took it down for "eat eat".

Then it turned into a fun game of doing the lion dance with us..

love the cars~

Our dear Nathan is almost 2 yr and 4 month now. Recently he LOVES LOVES the cars so much, all day, he has two little cars in his hands and plays around whenever he can. He plays the cars on his car seat, during his meal time, when he took bath, on the grass, on the couch, and even when he go to bed, his little hands still struggle to grasp all cars he could find to go to bed with him.

I am little concern if he is too obsessed with cars, even though he also has some obsessions for Robot. But it's not too bad yet. I tried to distract him with different games, such as bicycle, Lego, clay etc. But nothing is as good as car, he put his cars on the basket of his bicycle to play. And have his little cars run over the clay..

My husband told me not to worry, it's just a stage of life that Nathan will eventually move on to other interest.

Today, I took Nathan for some clothe shopping, and I saw the set of boy's clothe, with the car on the shirt and more car photos on the shorts. It's red, and honestly..little bit too "colorful" for me...But Nathan right away hug the shirt and said "car! car!". After some debate, I decided to get his the set since he likes so much.

Oh my godness, how much he loves the car! During the night, he was watching cartoon with his daddy and refused to go shower, I showed him the car shirt and said "let's shower and change clothe". He right away jump down his daddy's lap and happily come to the shower room. After some great water fun, he again doesn't want to get out the shower tub, I showed him the shirt and said "let's put on the shirt now~". Wow..he is very cooperate.

Finally, after we put on the shirt. Oh, mine~~ he is such happy boy! he looked very amazed, kept on touch his belly, pointed at the photo and tell me "car! car!".and he looked around, and very excited to see more car photos on his shirts.

I was glad that my Nathan enjoy his new clothe so much! But I start to think...how can I find a way to take off these clothe tomorrow morning so that he can get dressed for day care....oh....maybe I should get two set of car clothe so one can possible go to laundry :-)

Name...

Alright...something is going on...and we don't know too much detail yet.

But my husband suggested..Nathan likes the name "Abby", so how about we call it Abby?

My response is..what if it's a boy? Then we call it "Elmo" because Nathan also loves Elmo???
