Nathan is very curious and wants to participate in everything that I am doing, drinking, cooking, laundry, cleaning, driving, and shopping..

He got an important role now..he will help to put whatever grocery we got and put in the cart..sometimes mommy is too slow to pick up something for him...then he will decided to pick up something himself..

憲瑞現在很喜歡幫忙 打掃 洗衣 甚至買菜 我買菜的時候 他現在是媽咪的小幫手 會幫我把東西放到籃子裡 要是我太慢给他東西放 他會迫不及待的自己抓架上的東西

在Pasadena那邊有一間專門為兒童開的博物館 其中有自然科學區 還有四歲以下幼幼兒室內與室外遊戲區 玩水區 香草花園 天象區 體能訓練區 加上戶外餐廳 很多我認識的美國媽媽們都會辦個半年或是一年的會員票 期間內無限次數遊玩 其中上午有說故事時間 下午有唱歌玩樂器時間

上一次來的時候因為憲瑞還不太會爬 所以能玩的有限 現在他這麼好動 這一次去他玩的非常開心 由於家庭會費也蠻便宜的 於是乎我們當場就決定辦了半年的會員 其實那各會員價差不多等於來兩 三次門票的費用 所以現在開始 我們要努力的常常來玩 讓物超所值

Playdate at Alex's home

今天憲瑞到他好朋友Alex and Taline家玩 他的好朋友家裡面有好多玩具 又可以玩沙 玩水 加上認識很多其他的寶寶 雖然他是裡面年紀最小的 但是個子卻一點也不輸人家 他玩的開心到 一上車不到十秒就在後座睡很熟了

Oh...Nathan had the best day today...he met so many new baby friends, play in the sand, and the pool...love the baby kitchen set, and many of Taline's toys..and Taline is such a sweet hostress to share her toys and gave passionate hugs..

Nathan probably fall asleep within one second when I put him on the carseat..it's always so fun to have a playdate with other moms, there are so much to learn from each moms, and so many topics we can talk about..and most important of all..so fun to watch the babies grow up together and with so much interaction with each other. Considering most moms today are just became or going to be mom for the second time..oh...I am not envy them..but very much looking forward to see more babies in the mommy's group..hopefully one day I will join the 2nd time mommy club. :-)

Potty training trial 訓練使用小馬桶

由於憲瑞便便的時間都蠻固定的 最近他又喜歡上自己把尿布貼布撕開 上星期有一天 他突然叫 媽媽 媽媽 我跑去一看 不知道要笑還是要跳腳 他自己便便了 然後把尿布撕開 往旁邊地上一丟 最好笑的是 他還知道用手指者地上的尿布 叫媽媽來清 因此我們想說 雖然他還不能完全自己走路 但是他已經知道表達有便意了 也許是開始練習使用馬桶的時候了

上星期五 小馬桶到家裡了 他很開心的坐上去 把小青蛙馬桶當作小車 拖者在客廳跑來跑去 真是讓媽咪臉上三點黑線 想說 ㄟ 那個小朋友 你會錯意囉~~

第二天一早起床 他喝完奶後 媽咪跟爹地就想說 來試看看吧 他竟然也很配合的坐上去 他媽咪坐在他後方陪他坐 免得某人便便進行中 拖者未完成的半成品爬走 他爹地坐前面 唱歌 念故事書給他聽 小傢伙就非常愉快的 非常享受的 一邊還跟我們比要上廁所的手語 不一會兒 ㄟ 開始放屁~~~沒一會兒 就開始嗯嗯 嗯嗯的一臉認真

過了一會兒 看他臉色恢復原來愉快的樣子 想說 啊 大概成功了 扶起來一看 耶 !!!!成功了!!!!一號 二號 固體 液體通通都有~~ 原本還想說可能要練習一陣子他才會懂 想不到這麼快

接下來就是非常愉快的一星期 每天兩次的便便都很準時 其他時間 多少也會配合的給一點液體產物 雖然他還是需要尿布 但是我們很開心他開始使用小馬桶

除了使用小馬桶以外 他也非常喜歡看馬桶沖水 每次沖水 他都會堅持一定要看 會大聲叫 哇~~~
不過有幾次他動作非常快 我們還來不及反應 他已經把手伸到馬桶裡面玩水 而且不到一星期 他已經學會按馬桶的沖水鍵 有幾次我們才沖完 還在旁邊洗手台洗手 小傢伙已經趁機站起來按沖水鍵

離他自己知道便意 尿意 去上廁所的時候還有很長的訓練之路要走 不過看他這麼快就接受小馬桶 還真是讓媽咪跟爹地很開心

網路上看了幾篇學步兒訓練上廁所的要件 美國人一般來說 都說要等小朋友完全會自己走路十才開始訓練(十八月左右) 以下是必要的條件
1. 能夠自己走路 不需要幫助
2. 能夠自己穿 脫褲子
3. 有便意 尿意時 能夠以手語或是口語來告知父母
4. 能夠自己知道如何找到馬桶的位置
5. 睡覺後起來尿布大部分是乾的(代表肌肉發展成熟 能夠控制跟延遲上廁所的時間)
6. 每次上廁所的間隔時間約是兩小時 而不是這邊一點 那邊一點 有時多 有時少

看看以上的條件 我們幾乎完全不合格 不過 他倒是有時候 會以手語告知我們 他想上廁所 重點是 讓他學會跟習慣小馬桶的用途 其他的 就慢慢來囉

其實 陪伴小朋友 除了要安排很多的活動以外 每天也有很多的進度要學 要學自己吃飯 自己睡覺 要學走路 學上廁所 學說話 學新的歌 新的手語

每個星期 也很多的活動 偶爾去別的媽媽家玩 加上每星期固定去公園兩次 到三次 星期五上午還要去圖書館聽故事 星期六早上還有媽咪與我的親子教室 三不五時還要去醫生伯伯那邊做一些例行性的檢查 現在開始 媽咪還要記得帶寶寶去兒童博物館走走 天氣熱的時候還要去上游泳課 美國的小孩 說實話真的是蠻幸福的

Since Nathan is a very "on-time" baby, we decided to let him start to try to use the potty...oringinally we thought just to let him get the idea what's potty use for...since he is not really walking by his own yet, we thought his real ready for potty training time will be later..

However..shocking..and surprising...Nathan gets the idea of potty right away..in his first try..we got a biiiiig pooh pooh...and since then..to now..it has been over one week, we hasn't have a pooh in his diaper yet..and sometimes he also pee in the potty..wow....this is very exciting....but wow...my boy is growing so fast....it's hard to believe he can alrady express so much of what he like, dislike, want, want to go...and shows potty sign when he feel the #1...

Playdate with Johnathan and Delane

憲瑞星期五有兩個住在附近的好朋友來家玩 不過我們只有照到一個 他們兩個都是混血兒 你看出來了嗎
Nathan's good friend Johnathan and Delane visited us this Friday afternoon and we had a great time! Nathan loves to drive the car walk around the house and he especially love if there is another baby drive around with him. It looks like both are very good drivers, although Johnathan seems like to push the car more than sit on it. :-)

Easter Egg Hunt! 復活節尋蛋

http://babydx.blogspot.com/2010/04/happy-easter-welcome-to-egg-hunt.html 憲瑞是當中年紀最小的小朋友 大家都兩歲左右 他一歲四個月 唯一還在地上爬的就是他 不過他還是很賣力的爬到蛋前面 把蛋撿起來放籃子中 另外他對於復活節的兔子 還有派對中掛滿樹梢的燈籠 以及後院滿滿的玩具也都非常有興趣 感謝這位費心的媽媽讓我們都過了一個難忘的復活節

Nathan just celebrated his first Easter on this Saturday at his friend Dashel's house. Dashell's mommy Gwyn and his daddy Dave did an amazing job of decorating their house and set up so much fun for all the kids. Nathan was so excited that he crawl back and forth many times, to find eggs, and to play the toys...we were so impressed and happy to see Nathan has so much fun..however..an forgetful mommy like me...who forgot to charge her camera...also..because Gwynn took so many nice pictures..so ..please enjoy our first Egg Hunt experience pictures at Gwyn and Dashell's blog :-P

Nathan and his cousin Henry had a great time during our visit at Chicago. Henry is 1 yr older than Nathan. He is funny and talented like his parents. And we can see Nathan already became a big fan of his older cousin Henry..because he follows him everywhere and always very entertained by whatever he is doing.





Also, he was very attracted to his 3 month old cousin Hattie. He always observe Hattie and just so fond of her..hopefully one day Nathan will be a good big brother too.


Oh..and we also met his cousin Charlie who is 2 weeks older than him..Charliel is amazing in his ability of speaking and walking. Oh well..I can only tell myself that every baby is different, Nathan is taller so he walk slower and as a biliguel baby..he learned two language at same time :-)

Anyway..this is Nathan first time meetings his cousins and we had great time!

Just a normal nice Sunday at the Leg park near home 愉快的在公園度過星期天下午

Nathan enjoys more and more of walking around, crawling around, so we tried to keep him more active during the day. It's more exhausting and yet so fun to see him move around more and talk more.He is really picking up words and express himself more.

Today he says.."shuuu" for shoes, and "sarrrr" for socks..and also said hsish hsish for thank you in Chinese..

Also, after we played in the park, he did the sign for "wash hands"..without any of our suggestions..wow..my son starts to have more his own opinions of what he wants to do...I should be happy or worry?? :-) I think I would just be happy..and hopefully I am able to guide him to make decisions more toward the better direction.

We are back!!!

I know...we've so behind our blog posting..since baby Nathan figure out how to crawl forward...less posting...and then he figure out and LOVE to crawl upstairs...even less posting...and now he also figure out how to crawl up the sofa.....I am just feel happy that I finally got some time to post some of his current fun..

Feburary and March is quite a busy month with the travel...we were finally back and adjust to LA time..then visited Aaron's 90 yr old great grandmom at Napa, then we traveld to Chicago and Iowa for business, fun and family visiting..we had lots of fun..here is some videos during our visit to his great grand nan who will be 91 years old this week, she is a tiny lady with wonderful personality and strong will..we are just blessed that Nathan can still meet her.

This is also nan's very first time of tryig skype..she was astonished..with tear in her eyes that she couldn't believe that she can see her son who she missed so much and yet lived very far..seeing her response..I wish every senior facility..or every senior can have access to the benefit of modern technology that enpowered them to get closer to families and friends live far away..
